      Charles G. Rott, son of Anton and Ann Henik Rott was born June 2, 1906, near Cuba, and died April 2, 1985, at Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln, Nebr., at the age of 78 years and 10 months. He received his elementary education at Thomas Rural School in Republic County. He was united in marriage to Frances Benyshek on March 20, 1929, and to this union two children were born. He lived his entire life in Republic County and was engaged in farming. He was a member of ZCBJ Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Rosa Klaumann, Anna Havel and Mary Rott. He is survived by his wife of the home; one son, Marvin Rott of Cuba; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Marlene) Whitney of Milford, Nebr.; five grandsons: Charles Rott and Robert Rott of Clay Center, Kans.; Chris Rott of Wichita, Michael Whitney of Milford, Nebr.; David Whitney of Lincoln, Nebr.; 11 great-grandchildren, Eric Whitney of Milford, Nebr., Monica, Sarah, Elizabeth, Andrea, Jeremy, Kimberly, Brady and Joey Rott of Clay Center, Kans.; and Joseph Rott of Agenda, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church of Cuba, April 6, conducted by Rev. Tom Ballard. Interment was in National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery.
