      Amelia Lahodny, daughter of Milek and Rosa Havel Havel, was born April 29, 1907, on a farm southwest of Cuba, and died January 20, 1991, at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville, at the age of 83 years, eight months and 22 days. She received her elementary education at Kunkel Rural School and graduated from Cuba High School in 1925. She was united in marriage to Milek E. Lahodny, June 7, 1927, at Belleville, and to this union two children were born. The couple was engaged in farming west of Cuba for many years. She was a member of the HCC Club of Cuba. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1968, one sister, Viola Opocensky, two brothers, Lodis Havel and Vernon Havel. She is survived by two children, Davey Lahodny of Belleville, Mrs. Beverly Waguespack of Bossier City, La., one sister, Mrs. Emil (Eleanor) Makalous of Cuba; seven grandchildren; one greatgrandchild. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church of Cuba, Wednesday, January 23, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Tom Ballard. Interment was in National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery.
