    • Leonard Charles Lahodny, youngest son of Rudolph and Barbara Lahodny, was born August 18", 1911, at Munden, Kan., and died September 12, 1952, at his home in Costa Mesa, Calif., after an extended illness.

      He was graduated from Narka high school and attended the University of Nebraska where he was a member of the Delta Chi social fraternity. He was a graduate of Williams Institute of Embalming in Kansas City and for nine years was associated with Lahodny furniture store and funeral home in Belleville. At the time of his death he was a partner with his brother, Clarence, in an upholstery and interior decorating business in Costa Mesa, Calif.

      On August 1, 1939, in Belleville, he was united in marriage to Miss Anita Medlin. He was a member of First Methodist church, the Belleville Masonic lodge, the Chapter, the' Royal Arch and Isis Temple of the Shrine.

      Survivors include his wife, Anita, of the home; his father, Rudolph Lahodny of Belleville; two brothers, Stanley of San Fernando, Cal., and Clarence of Santa Ana, Cal. His mother preceded him in death four years ago.

      Leonard loved life and people. He was conscientious in all things and deeply loyal to his family, his friends and his ideals.

      Services were Wednesday, September 17, at First Methodist church in Belleville. The Rev. James Gray officiated. Interment was made in Belleville cemetery

    • Miss Medlin Weds Leonard Lahodny - Miss Anita Evelyn Medlin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Skidmore of Norway, became the bride of Leonard Charles Lahodny, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Lahodny of Belleville, on Sunday, October 1. The marriage lines were read at 10 o'clock that morning at t he Methodist parsonage, thee Rev. C. A. Fislier officiating. The bride, who was attended by Miss Melon Kueker, wore an ensemble of Delft blue and wine, her full skirted frock of blue featuring a necklace of silver arrows and hearts. Her assessories were in wine, and she carried a colonial bouquet. Larry Longwell attended Mr. Lahodny, and the only guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lahodny, Miss Cecil Wills, and Augustine Kerstine. They left immediately following the ceremony for a short wedding trip to Kansas City and Oklahoma City, and will return the latter part of the week to make their home in the Bohm residence on 0 street. Mr's. Lahodny graduated from the Norway high school, and for the past five years has been employed in the Farm Bureau office in Belleville. After finishing high school at Narka, Mr. Lahodny attended the University Nebraska for two years, and a year ago was graduated from the Wichita School of Embalming in Kansas City. He now is associated with his father and brother in the Lahodny furniture company.
