    7. [S8] Belleville Telescope, Anna (Nesetril) Lahodny Obituary (Reliability: 0), 19 Sep 1957.
Mrs. Anna (Nesetril) Lahodny, daughter of Louis and Anna (Hlavacova) Nesetril, was born in Marshalltown, Ia., April 11, 1870, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Blades of Ontario, Cal., August 30, 1957, at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 19 days. As a little child of two years, with her parents she came to Republic county, Kan., where her parents took up homestead one mile south and two miles east of Munden. She spent her childhood and school-days attending the original sod-house school of the Gleason school District No. 16, which adjoined their homestead. In the year 1889 she was united in marriage to William Lahodny, of the New Tabor vicinity. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. At the opening of the Oklahoma strip, in the covered wagon, the little family moved to that state, living there for two years. But longing for old friendships, they returned and established their residence in the Cuba vicinity. Upon the death of her husband in 1920 she lived among her children, and for a short time lived in her own home in the city of Cuba. Of her longer stays, she lived for seven years with her son, Melik, one mile west of Cuba, and the last 18 years of her life she spent with her daughter, Bessie, in the state of California. Preceding her in death were her husband, January 13, 1920, both her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brosh, Blanche Nesetril and Rosie Eisfeldt; three brothers, Joseph, Emil and Willie Nesetril. Surviving and mourning her departure are her children, Ben Lahodny and Mrs. Bessie Bladen both of Ontario, al., William Lahodny of Corvallis, Ore., Mrs. Ella Havel of Lincoln, Neb., and Milek Lahodny of Cuba, Kan., sons-in-law and daughters-in-law; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one brother, Frank Nesetril of Clyde, Kan., a very large circle of other relatives and a host of friends. She was a long-time member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge No. 19 of New Tabor. She was of the hardy pioneer children, a wonderful, tender mother, a faithful companion, a kind and thoughtful neighbor. Her delight was in her family of children, and their children. Even to the great-grandchildren, they were ever so precious to her, and there was none so good, and none to be more respected, than Great-grandmother Lahodny.
