Mliek Havel Milek Havel, son of Adolph and Anna Havel, was born on a farm near Cuba, Kan., March 26, 1883 and died Nov. 13, 1967 at his home in Cuba at the age of 84 years, seven months and 18 days. He was maried to Rosa Havel, Sept. 7, 1904. Three daughters and two sons were born to them. He was engaged in farming most of his life and was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Lodis W.; seven brothers, James, Frank, Edward, Steve, Lodis and Anton; and one sister, Emma Klaumann. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Emil Makalous, Mrs. Milek Lahodny, Mrs. Viola Opocensky; one son, Vernon; two sons-in-law and one daughter-in law; two brothers, Charles of Concordia and Henry of Belleville; two sisters, Mrs. Edd Junek and Mrs, Anna Sefcik of Cuba; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Memorial services were held Nov. 16, at the United Presbyterian Church of Cuba with Rev. Fred Mansfield in charge. Interment was at the Kopsa Cemetery.
