Frank L. Jakabosky, son of Mitchell and Mary Jakabosky, was June 12, 1869 at Algoma, Wisc., and died January 22, 1953, at his home in Cuba at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 10 days. He was 8 years old when he came with his parents to Cuba and here he grew to manhood. On September 6, 1914 he was married to Miss Anna Kasparek and the couple lived on the same farm for 68 years moving to Cuba three years ago. Nine children were born to the union. Mr. Jakabosky felt that his first duty was to his family and so never got out much in public life until his last few years. He enjoyed staying at home and working and providing for his family. He was a good workman and cut almost all the lumber and built the buildings on his farm. He enjoyed the comradeship of his children and grandchildren very much. Preceding him in death were two of his sons, Doane, who was killed in World War II in 1944 and Frank, jr., who died two years ago in the Korean war; a brother, Elmer, and three, sisters, Kate, Mary and Rose. Surviving him are his wife of the home; six daughters, Bonnie Lesovsky, Cuba; Ila Tilton, Klamath Fales, Ore.; Leona Sells, Chester, Neb.: Neva Wyman, and Arlerie Jarrett, Lincoln, Neb., and Melva Fisher of Narka, one son, Dale Jakabosky, Narka; three sisters, Anna Carpenter, Lincoln, Neb., Emma Kasparek, Portland, Ore., and Christena Pophan, Cherry Valley, Ill., one brother, Joe Jakabosky, Molalla, Ore., and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Cuba Presbyterian church with the Rev. James Gray on January 26. Interment was in Kopsa Cemetery.
