      Emma Doupnik Huncovsky, daughter of Joseph and Katherine Zavodsky Doupnik was born in Red Oak, IA., December 25,1873 and passed away at her home in Cuba, Kan., August 9, 1961 at the age of 87 years 7 months and 15 days. When but a small child, she, with her parents, brothers and sisters came to Kansas where they made their home. Many were the trials and tribulations of this pioneer family. Emma was the youngest and only survivor of this family of six children. On March 26, 1892 she was married to Joseph Huncovsy. This union was blest with eleven children. They lived on a farm in Republic county until she a widow and her daughter Anna moved to Cuba, Kan., in 1938. Preceding her in death were her husband Joseph who passed away April 23, 1937. Three children who died in infancy. One daughter-in law, Mamie Huncovsy, Bell Gardens Cal., in 1954 and a son-in-law Revere C. Totten, Haddam, Kan., 1957. She leaves to mourn her passing, five daughters, Anna of the home who cared for her in her declining years. Frances and husband Adolph Marsicek, Blanche and husband, Arthur Hanel. Helen and husband, Glen J. Leshosky and Elsie Totton, Beatricie, Neb. Three sons. Will Huncovsky, Bell Gardens, Cal., Wesley and wife Grace Huncovsky of Haddam, Ben and wife Olive Huncovsky Cuba, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends."Mothers hands are softly folded. As she lays aside her cares. To be with the one in heaven, Who waits to greet her there."Funeral services were held at the First United Presbyterian Church in Cuba, Kan., Friday morning August 11, 1961 at 10 o'clock. Rev. Amos Rundus officiating. Burial at the National Bohemian cemetery.
