LYND, 36, PASSES AWAY, IS BURIED SUNDAYCharles Lynd, a native of Newport and a former resident of this city, passed away at the St. Mary's hospital in Green Bay last week Thursday as the result of a complication of diseases from which he had been ill for some time. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home of his sister, Mrs. O. L. Peterson, of this city. The Rev. Dr. Simpson pastor of the Green Bay Baptist church, officiated and interment was made at Bayside. A large number from outside points attended the final rites. Pallbearers were Edward and Henry Fidler, Joseph and Anton Fellner, Alvin Reichard, and Lester Peterson. At the funeral special music was furnished by a mixed quartet consisting of C. B. Harting, Edward Fidler, Miss Nora Fidler, and Mrs. Herman Taube. Mr. Lynd was born at Newport November 12, 1889, and spent his boyhood days at Sturgeon Bay. From here he went to Sheboygan Falls where he was married to Miss Mamie Richards of that city December 11, 1918. After living for some years at Sheboygan Falls he became of ill health and had to discontinue his work as a successful mechanic and tool maker. Surviving are his wife, who lives at Waupun, and two daughters. Ruth 11, and Dorothy, 9, who are living at Green Bay. Three sisters and one brother also survive. They are Mrs. O. L. Peterson, of this city; Mrs. Herman Radatz, of Kenosha; Mrs. Joseph Fisher, Milwaukee; and Orland Lynd, Kewaun
